About
University Film Video Association is one of the premier academic organizations dedicated to the study of media. UFVA is an international organization where media production and writing meet history, theory and criticism. UFVA members are image-makers and artists, teachers and students, archivists and distributors, college departments, libraries, and manufacturers.
The New Media exhibition, a vital part of the UFVA Conference, includes projects that vary widely and may be interactive physical installations or presentations involving more traditional audiovisual means. Though their strategies may differ, they all employ imaginative methods to push the boundaries of what is possible in the media arts. New media projects include, but are not limited to: VR/AR, interactive and generative pieces. New Media artists challenge the boundaries of cinema in the ever changing world of technology, some embracing new digital strategies and some re-imagining their continued love for analogue, all the while questioning new paths and exciting processes.
